Dear Nelly...

Dear Nelly,

Oh my dear love. Why am I so obsessed with you? Posting these pictures of yourself does not help:

My obsession to Nelly is pretty well known. I literally would probably pass out if I ever met this hunk of a man.

Our relationship has been going strong now for at least 12 years. And by relationship I mean "I stalk him."

Literally last night I sat in bed watching You Tube videos of him, listening to his music for a good hour.

Gosh, my poor poor husband. He is going to be beyond embarrassed by this post. Oh well, he is used to it.

I booked my 30th Birthday Party location today. Yes, I am pulling the pure Diva-it's my birthday-I'll cry if I want to-birthday bash. I was speaking to my mother on the phone earlier and told her my only request would be for her to get Nelly at my party.

I really do not think that is much to ask for Mother. And Father, you too. After all you live just down the road him. (Or maybe his mother. I heard he gave his house that was featured on MTV Cribs to his mother. Is it true? I don't know. But I like to talk like I really know.)  Go knock on that door and cordially invite him.

Dear Nelly,

I can wear cornrows and get manicured toes.

I can check my reflection in the mirror and tell my best friend "my butt is literally getting big."

I want you for your Pimp Juice.

I, however, probably will not rob the jewelry store and tell em' to make me a grill.

Dear Nelly,

I will be at the Tim McGraw concert on May 23rd. It's a Thursday night. At approximately 7 pm. You can surprise me by coming upon stage with him. I fully give you my permission.
Please make an appearance with your ol' friend, Timmy, so I can sit and drool over you and wish that it was my name tattooed across your abs.

Your Nelly-lunatic of a fan/Lover

PS--This is purely for fun and stupidity. I am in no way, shape, or form really a "stalker" of Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr. :)

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Guess what? Mama Bear is FINALLY starting to feel better! Thank goodness. 9 days later I am feeling 98% better. That 2% is because I am still having dizzy spells/body numbness. I have had only one episode today. Hopefully it is just part of recovery?!

You know how hard it was to not be able to get out of bed for a week?! I mean, I had to get out of bed for work. But I honestly do not know how I made it through work. Finally, on Thursday I could not take it any longer. I got a shot in the ol' hip and I think that is exactly what I needed. I slept like no other and have not been sick since.

And now, I am finally in a clean house, working on Disney pictures, and kinda sorta catching up on laundry. Two weeks of laundry is killer. I do not know if I will ever catch up.

I took 1090 pictures at Disney. I started to finally edit them last night. I took so many because I wanted to really capture all the details this time around. It's going to take all week to get through them. But here are a couple of favorites thus far.

I ordered these cute little Mickey shirts from My Little Legacies on Etsy.

Happy Monday!!!

Can not wait to post the rest of the details about our best family vacation yet!

I should be re-capping vacation, instead I am in Puke Hell.

Here's the deal...

I should be spending lots of time editing my 1200 pictures from vacation, catching up on loads and loads of laundry from vacation, and re-capping my vacation through a blog post, however, my body has decided to be in puke hell. And I mean PURE PUKE HELL.

I have actually been in puke hell for about a month now. First, Dylan. He puked and pooped for four weeks straight. But he never ever acted sick. In fact, we spent our whole drive on vacation cleaning up puke. Even some good ol' Grandma's and truck drivers helped me in the middle of a gas station as my child sat there projectile vomiting in the middle of the gas station floor right next to the Dunkin Doughnuts.

I stood there like, "What do I do? Do I take him to the bathroom and create a trail of puke? Or do I stand there and let him finish since he has already devoured the gas station floor?" So a nice truck driver showed me to the bathroom while the Grandma and another truck driver called for a clean up in the doughnut aisle. Embarrassing.

Even more embarrassing? On the way home, we somehow stopped at that same gas station and Dylan says "This is where I threw up Mommy!" Thank goodness it was a new gas station clerk.

Once we got to Disney, Dylan needed to continue to make his marks. One including a Magic Kingdom bathroom. Hey, at least it was in a bathroom this time around. Poor little guy though. We had to keep him in pull-ups the whole vacation. We just had to. There were never any warning signs of when a puke or poop was to come.

Thankfully, he eventually stopped.

BUT then...the puke traveled onto the other child of mine - Drew.

On the way home we stopped in Chattanooga, TN to get a hotel room for the night. Drew decides he is "allergic" (His words, not mine) to pizza and pukes all over the hotel room and when I say "all over", I mean ALL OVER! And I must say, he is such a dramatic puker just like his Dad. Lord help me.

That was over in about 5 minutes, he fell asleep with a wet towel over his head and was good to go the next day. Mommy, however, was not.

Not even a minute out of the hotel parking lot I tell Justin he has to pull over. I get car sick all the time. My family does not travel like normal people. We have to be highly medicated or drunk. So, I for sure thought I was just getting car sick. (Oh! I forgot to mention, I, too, got car sick on the way to Florida.)

So, finally a Dramamine nap later, I woke up feeling a little okay. We arrived home around noon this past Saturday and I began to get a horrible horrible headache, so I layed down and slept for four hours. I never do this. I do not nap. I woke up feeling completely horrible. My body hurt. I was crying for my Mommy like a little baby. It was bad.

Since then I have still been sick. I had to go to work yesterday, but only made it 1/2 day. I spent 50% of my time in the bathroom. As soon as I left, I went straight to a walk in clinic. I immediately came home and went into a Phenergan Coma. It didn't help. I'm still puking.

It's like it is never going to end. This is some tough stomach flu.

Oh! And to top it all off, I had to somehow drum up enough energy to go pay my tickets today at the courthouse because my court date is tomorrow. Yeh, court date. Like I am some criminal or something. I needed to not get out of bed because have you ever had to pay a ticket at the Williamson County Courthouse? Wow. Those ladies are beyond rude.

So, now I am back home in bed feeling guilty as ever that I have been in this same very bed since I got home from vacation. Not playing with the boys. Not reading books to the boys. Sending the husband to the grocery store. Having the Grandparents help pick the kids up from school. Ya know, doing nothing but getting up to head to the bathroom. It's depressing. I just want to feel better already. Mommy's have no time to be sick.

Daddy Bear has really been great though. He has taken great care of me, constantly asking if I need anything. And the boys have been awesome too. They always tell me they hope I feel better and they love me.

Yes, this all may seem very dramatic. Like, come on Brista, it's just the flu. But this dang flu has been horrible. I want to feel better already. I do not like being sick. I would much rather be up doing a million different things rather than laying here thinking about doing those million different things.'s to getting better!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE being a GIRL Aunt!

This post is completely ALL about my favorite little nieces, Mady and Ashley.

Being a boy mom and all, I do not get to do ANYTHING girly with the kids. They despise shopping. No way would I ever get them into a doll store. No dress up. No make up. No dancing. Nada. Zip.

The closest I have gotten is Dylan. His favorite color used to be Pink. Not so much anymore.

While I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a boy mom, lucky for me I get my girl action with my two awesome nieces!

Ashley just turned 8! She had the cutest little Skating Birthday Party. It was so fun! I got to help with the decor table. She wanted all Zebra and Pink. It was so fun to put on my pink thinking cap!

She had an amazing little birthday party! Look at this big beautiful smile!

The following weekend after her party we all headed to St. Louis for some AAU Basketball. She wanted to go to the American Girl Doll Store for her birthday, so I decided to bring along my other niece, Mady, for the ride.

And I literally mean ride. I have anxiety first of all and I never ever drive. Justin had already left town, so I drove to St. Louis by myself. No adults. With three children. I have to say I did pretty good for never driving except that I had a minor panic attack going over the MLK Bridge and my body went numb. No joke. But we made it all in one piece. Hallelujah!

While we were in St. Louis we headed out to my Dad's for some visiting time.

He has some amazing natural light that comes in his huge windows in the living room, so I took full advantage of that and my niece/model at the same time. Beware. I am about to bombard this post with pictures just because I could not pick one!

I mean, seriously. Was I right? Or was I right? Isn't she just beautiful? Eeeeeek. I love when she comes and stays with me!

Later that afternoon we headed out to the American Girl Doll Store. Which was totes fun. I left wanting my own doll.

Both girls got their dolls' ears pierced.

Mady's doll, McKenna, got her hair did.

And I of course took a bazillion pictures.

What a super, fantastic weekend I had with these two little girls.

See, I am totally okay with never having a little girl of my own. I have these two to keep the girly things in my life and it's even extra special when I do get to do things with them!

Whew. Now that I have all pictures edited, saved, and uploaded to Shutterfly, I can move onto my next task before vacation which is cleaning the house. Yay.

Peace out for now, blog...
